Fi and I had a laugh to see that we were the subject of Photo of the Day on the 15th July in the local Venice paper. I just have to await my next Italian lesson to work out exactly what they have written!

The Scuola di Musica Antica Venezia played wonderfully for us, but did you recognise our specially selected music?
The pieces performed were:
* Played as Fiona entered
** Played as we left

26 days, 16 sunflowers, 12 Caravaggios, 10 trains, 4 countries, 3 guidebooks, 2 planes and countless museums, galleries and ice creams later, we are finally back in sunny Aberdeen but what a day it was that started it all - what a very special, memorable and utterly perfect wedding day.
For me it started with the great weather, practicing my speech in the sun while I waited in trepidation for Niall (best man) to return from the airport with his missing case containing kilts, shirts etc. With him back, Tom (best man) rounded up and a quorum of close friends we headed off on foot for the Ca`Farsetti. However, having arrived not there but at the reception destination I added my 2 cents to the navigation effort and we were eventually marching though streets, over bridges and through St Mark’s Square at a good rate of knots. Fear of arriving late propelled us however, and, bathed in sweat but victorious we arrived just in time.
So proud I was as I strode in flanked by my best men, but prouder still, and indescribably so the moment Fiona appeared in the doorway. Immediately I felt faint, to see my wife-to-be walking in as the music reached crescendo is a moment I shall never forget. I am sure I felt even Venice pause.
Thank you to all of our guests for making that day in June, our 23rd, more wonderful every minute.

Very soon there will be a link to a photo gallery posted on this site so you can relive the day. This gallery will have a (mercifully) selective honeymoon gallery but especially the photos from Ray Smith, our official photographer and other great shots from the day and night.
THIS IS WHERE WE NEED YOUR HELP
Did you take any photos? If so we would love to see them and will add them to the gallery for everyone to enjoy. If your photos are non-digital then I can scan them in for you so drop me a line for our address. We are keen to do this soon so we don’t lose the momentum and if you can help we would be eternally grateful. Any queries, just email me on mkj@cyno.co.uk
