Well, how time flies! Fiona and I, and Mum and Dad x 2 are currently putting the finishing touches to a wedding that we hope should be as memorable as Venice itself.

I wanted to update you with general directions, maps, itinerary info etc – all in the aim of making your day stress free and enjoyable.

Finally, just to say that Fi and I have been heartened to hear from our guests ahead of the big day about much you are looking forward to the 23rd, this has made us so happy.

Transport
The ceremony is in the Sala Stucchi at Ca Farsetti, which is on the Grand Canal and accessible by either boat, or on foot. We have arranged transport by a flotilla of water taxis after the ceremony to take you to the reception at the Palazzo Contarini so you don’t have to worry about marching across Venice in mid summer!

Timing (changed!)
Doors to the Sala Stucchi at the Ca Farsetti open at 3pm, with the ceremony commencing at 3.30pm

The dance and kilts
We have brought a little piece of Scotland to Venice and are having a Ceilidh (well the piper is from Bologna but he looks the part!).

The wedding party men and ushers will all be kilted up so why not join us?
